As it's once again summer, Cooper has been unavailable at times to assist with the comic. Today's page had 0 help from him until after it was done to fix a couple of grammar issues! If this page looks worse than usual then that's the reason! I am to blame! In other news: First off, the family day trip was swell! I ate tons of food, played video games with my nieces, watched everyone swim except for me and my dad who sat on the side and just watched, and played a 30 round game of Mario Party Superstars! Overall a good day! The drive there and back was pretty painless too, except for my being insanely tired on the two hour drive home. I wound up being way more tired than I thought as I got home around 2 am and went straight to bed, only to sleep until past 7 pm Friday. Nearly wiped the day out. It was a good thing I didn't bother to go into work after all. Later that night I heard a stray kitten crying from inside a SUV that was parked out front of my apartment. I wasn't sure where it was, but figured its mom had to be nearby. Problem was the next morning when I head out to do my laser hair removal appointment I heard it STILL meowing from the SUV. I thought it was weird but had to go to my appointment and left for the day. When I got back around 2pm I heard it for a moment but then it got quiet and wouldn't respond to any sort of noise. I put some food down and went inside. By 6 pm it hadn't come out for food and was still meowing from inside the SUV, so I risked the sun on my face and got started trying to capture the little guy. Turned out he was hiding in the gap underneath the car where the axle for the front tires were. I tried grabbing him but he was of course hostile and my hand was getting covered in grease. Eventually I lured him out using my phone playing videos of mamma cats meowing. Cue a chase around the parking lot as it hid underneath other cars until I managed to get it to slowly walk into my apartment using the mamma cat cries. Took him to the vet yesterday to get him checked up just in case and they said he was fine and healthy outside of fleas, which I bought some flea medication from them for him. As of now he's been staying in my bathroom while occasionally coming out into the living room to play, but Aisha doesn't like it when he gets close. I tried contacting some organizations to help get him adopted and after several rejections due to being at capacity a place contacted me back to bring him in to get vaccinated and chipped! He'll then stay at my place while they put out the adoption ad on their website and junk and I'll foster him until they can find his new home! I thought about maybe keeping him, but with my move at the end of next month I didn't want to add a whole bunch of stress onto Aisha, only to add even MORE stress when she stays at my friend's house for a few days while I move. My assumption was that she won't be acclimated with the kitten long enough before all that goes down, so I'd rather her not deal with the problems with moving on top of having a kitten she dislikes stuck next to her.
