How about we wrap up this chunk of the isekai adventures with an explosive bang! Sure, it's a dream sequence, but still! Wound up taking a nap right when I was gonna stream tonight as I was completely exhausted. Had a lot of stuff come through at work on top of trying to get personal stuff done. By the time I got back from my daily walk I was out of it. Ending up punting Kat work a day and focused on inking this because obviously I wasn't gonna be able to work on this at work. The next chapter is almost here, and I'm still scrambling to get stuff figured out! On the plus side, I got a huge amount of the outline done, so the very least I can simply jump over to the script and start cranking that out and come back to outline stuff later. At the same time, the outline is getting LOOOOOOONG. For comparison, the girls day out chapter's outline was 4 pages (I forgot to do an outline for the last chapter and jumped straight into the script, which made things tricky). This new chapter's outline is currently sitting at... 18 pages. Worse yet, I'm not done. To give a preview on this upcoming chapter: It involves a snow storm that typically hits Texas around mid to late February every year, and how Texas is never prepared for it. Don't worry, I don't plan to get political or anything about it. Just taking the effects an ice storm has on Texas and cranking it up to 11. The chapter is very much an epic adventure story, with an ever growing cast of party members with a focus on the absurd and comedy. Seeing The Adventures of Baron Munchausen really inspired me to punch up the absurdity. On top of that, I'm going with an unusual group of cast of characters for this adventure, as I wanted to play around and see how they'd interact with one another while going on this "quest" of sorts. As the past two chapters have focused on Doris' relationships and femininity, I wanted to mix things up and do a fun adventure story. Though as I look at the outline I have a feeling this will wind up being a two-parter. Mostly depends on how the rest of the outline turns out and if I can figure out a good reason to add a 5th party member before the climax or not. Looking further ahead, once we get past this story we'll be entering spring time in the comic! That means a certain someone's return to the comic! Look forward to it! I do apologize to those who read more for the bodysuit/gender bending/gender discovery aspects of the comic. I sincerely hope the weekly drawings can help sate that hunger as I have fun with this upcoming epic. OTHER NEWS SINCE I'M THINKING ABOUT IT: First week of October (2nd - 6th) and some time in December (19th - 26th), I will once again be manning the art department at work by myself. This means no regular comic updates during that time as it's a crap shoot when it comes to I get a bunch of work or work winds up being dead. It really sucks it'll be happening so early into the next chapter's start date, but what can ya do? Tell my supervisor that, no, she can't go on vacation? For that week of updates, I'm going to open the floor for everyone on patreon to submit pinup ideas. I'll pick the two that interest me the most and draw them! Preferably the ideas will be suiting related, but don't feel limited in thinking they have to involve just B23 characters. Y'all know what gets me ticking. I'll make a post in a week or so for everyone to toss in their ideas. Anyway, this is coming out to be a hell of a long blog post.
