No, their legs aren't missing. I'm gonna have water there that'll cover em up, so I didn't bother to add them. Last night I went to see Cruella in theaters, as a friend was insistent that the movie had very little to do with the original 101 Dalmatians, and that it was a good movie unlike all those other Disney live actions films. Since I still have AMC A-List and need to actually use it more than once a month (and expand my horizons), I went to go see it. Movie was alright. Kinda dumb, but it was okay. I didn't dislike it or anything, nor did I feel like I wasted time seeing it. 6-7/10. What I found weird was how so far removed it was to the original 101 Dalmatians. My friend said it was, so I was expecting it, but holy cow. It felt like I was watching a revenge/heist film that was written first, only for Disney execs to jump into the pool of scripts they must surely own and go "Hey! This one could maaaybe work for a live action Cruella!" All the stuff that I felt was dumb about the film was mostly due to the fact that they had to make some effort to connect it to 101 Dalmatians. From coming up with cringey reasons why she calls herself Cruella De Vil, to making references to kill dogs to make a fur coat (but all the characters, including Cruella, thinks its cruel and would never ever do such a thing!), and even included dialogue references. If not for the forcing of the 101 Dalmatians connection, I wonder if I would've enjoyed it more?
