Got one more day of my 4 day weekend, as I took Friday and Monday off from work. Been mostly relaxing and doing nothing, as I typically do on my days off. Well, a lot of Halo 3 multiplayer too. Last night I watched the Disney film The Sword in the Stone. I can't remember if I had ever watched it as a kid, or if I only saw bits from trailers. If I had indeed watched it before, I can't blame myself for forgetting because that movie sure was mediocre. Had little in the ways of plot other than teaching Arthur some lessons. Then it introduces an antagonist witch that appears and is thwarted over the course of 10 minutes. Even the ending isn't satisfying as ends with Arthur not really wanting to be King and Merlin going "Oh, yeah. You're King Arthur. Man, they're gonna write a bunch of shit about you. Also meta joke about television." The animation would've been fine if not for Disney's attempt at trying to "clean up" the picture quality. The entire thing looks like it was smudged, with the line art you see in the xerox era Disney films blurred in an attempt to hide them. Really wish Disney wouldn't fuck with their films like that. It's their films, so I guess they'll do whatever the fuck they want with em.
