Dear Patrons
It's the first of the month so here's a quick update about what's in the oven!
I'm currently editing our next HGA, and it's a big one.
This episode is the result of our August trip to northern British Columbia, where we met Gitxsan and Gitanyow communities and learned about their next big fight: the Ksi Lisims LNG terminal and Prince Rupert Gas Transmission (PRGT) pipeline.
Why is this important to those concerned about climate action? Because Canada is effectively attempting to copy Australia's disastrous foray into becoming an LNG-exporting superpower. So we are uniquely and perfectly placed to warn others about it's impacts here.
Oh and as if to make the point even clearer, guess who is one of the partners behind this project? Yes, our very own aussie climate bastards, Woodside Energy, who are listed as members of the Rockies LNG Consortium.
Which is why this HGA acts, both as a warning to Canadians. (Check out this article by Mark Ogge in Canada's paper of record); as well as a chance to talk about the harms the LNG industry has done to Australia, and specifically Woodside's own track-record with it's North-West Shelf LNG terminal.
As you know by now, I feel strongly about the need to take an international approach when documenting fossil-fuel-fuckery. And this HGA is an example of how I am trying to do that.
By now, you've probably noticed our videos are coming out at the start of the month rather than the end of the month... Or maybe you haven't, which is even better; since I'm moving away from trying to stick to a fixed monthly schedule (it doesn't always work well with family rhythms).
The important thing to know is that we're still publishing a video once a month, even if they appear at irregular intervals. And you can expect this next one in the coming week.
If you're wondering if we'll make an HGA about our government's current attempt to reform our Environment laws (EPBC Act) before the end of this month, a reminder that we covered this in this HGA last year. And in this HGA earlier this year. We also covered the proposed changes to our broken FOI laws in this HGA.
I'll leave you with this photo taken during recent protests in New Zealand, where someone spotted our "Putting the N back in cuts" slogan from our latest HGA about NZ.

I'll catch you in a few days with our next HGA.
Until then, take care
Giordano
