Weekly Update - Crushing Johnson & New Jazmine Sprite

Hello everyone!

The attached GIF says it all. Here is my reveal of the new Bunny Girls game bodyscissor scene (bodyscissors? body-scissor? My autocorrect says all of those are typed wrong). I think it came out very, very well, and I hope you share my enthusiasm.

Rest assured, though : this is only half of the scene. You ain't seen nothing yet! This is one complex scene with a lot happening in it, and it's been equally exciting and exhausting writing it so far. I would consider myself almost halfway done with it, or even less so if I try to add a protag-has-too-much-brain-damage version as was wisely suggested in earlier comments.

As I said, it's the last scene I am planning to add to the game, so it has to feel appropriately cathartic. I can only hope I deliver on that promise.

In other news, Bunny Girls artist Ainemswork has done some quick work producing a new character sprite for Jazmine. She does look different; the new art makes her look a little more 'anime' than her earlier soft/almost realistic look, which makes the sprite blend better with the rest of the game. However, as you might have noticed, Ainemswork doesn't do proper/rigid anime designs, so Jazmine now has her own style. Think Hannah's coloring and outline style, but with a smaller frame.

I made sure to ask for alternate arm positions in the sprite as well, so it gives her a bit more of a dynamic presence, with her body somewhat adapting to her facial expressions. I'm looking forward to introducing her new look in the next build. I just need to do a lot of testing to make sure the integration didn't mess up anything. You know how game dev goes.

There is a part in the bodyscissors scene where Hannah and Jazmine are finally reunited and stand next to each other in the screen, and the size difference is kinda hilarious. Jazmine is a strongly build woman, but Hannah in comparison is an absolute powerhouse. I like the contrast very much.

And that's it for now. Slow news week again, but I am focusing all of my efforts on the Bunny Girls game. There are secret news I am not revealing yet about The Bodyguard Girl game, because I am not ready to let you guys know.  I am working a little on it, in parallel, so that when the Bunny Girls release (planned for early Fall), I can immediately have another thing to show you. I'll keep you posted about it soon enough.
