Pressure
Added 2025-11-15 09:08:50 +0000 UTCI wanted to take some time to talk a bit about my latest experiences. If you've been following me for a while, you probably noticed I'm not drawing my oc's, especially Akira as much. There is a reason for that.
For a few months I've been putting a lot of pressure on myself. I've been practicing and trying to improve my art and this has made me even more critical about my skill. Feeling that I always have to surpass my previous artwork each time I try to sit down and draw something that isn't a commission. That my poses have to be better, my rendering more polished, my color palates more interesting. As you can imagine, this has taken a big toll on me, and as a result I've been trying to return to the mental state that made me fall in love with the medium again. Things like experimenting with my style, Paint tool sai, and trying to be a bit less concerned about this need to be perfect have slowly been helping. This patreon is also a part of that, and I want to experiment a bit more with my work in the pieces I post here, so expect a bit more exploration in the future. Especially anything related to my own ocs! This means there are going to be some work with no video process until I figure out how to record and edit my videos in OBS! I just hope you are here for the ride until then! <3

I can deeply relate to struggling with perfectionism, and having that get in the way of pursuing my art, and I'm so glad to hear you're finding ways of making your craft fun and enjoyable again! It's also very good to see Akira again, she was the OC that made me fall in love with your art and follow you in the first place <3<3<3 Take care of yourself and have fun with your craft!!
