Art commission WIPs: for Savior
Added 2024-08-21 20:27:35 +0000 UTCI am going to start on another one soon but right now working on one because I had life stuff to fix.
So far I'm feeling really good about this one. Savior wanted this image to be close too a horror appearance so I took inspiration from Alien for the colors. using reds and blues. The blue being the center of attention and the reds for the shadows. As well as making the image dark in tone and subject.
They provided the refs, pose and idea.
Also the reason why I ended up diming the background is because it was competing with the blue light. The two were too close in brightness, so either one had to be toned down or one needed to be brighter. I chose to dime down one because if it's too bright it wont won't give the right mood I'm going for.

UPDATE 8/23/24: making some progress, was having a little trouble with the helmet but finally figured it out. So far, I think it's looking good.
UPDATE 8/26/24: I'm getting closer but still figuring out the water and cleaning up the shading.
UPDATE 8/29/24: Almost there, might be able to finish her tonight. I did add more damage to her armor and some blood. It was looking too clean.
FINISHED!
I did realize I was over thinking the water, as it's at night and she isn't moving. Also this is still water so it wouldn't have as much ripples.
