Patron Set June [Work In Progress 5-27-20] - Over the Rainbow

For the next Patreon set coming in July, I need new pictures shot from my friend, Magic-Kristina-KW, which is currently in progress. While I wait for these new poses, I wanted to take June off so that I had some time to complete some commissions and animations.

And then, I get into a discussion with a close friend about the behind the scenes fuckery involved in the classic 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz. I love this movie to bits, but the cast really went through hell and back in the process of making it! Anyway, this sequence before you started as one picture I was painting while in that discussion, and after making it, the idea of a sequence brewed up, and the next day, 6 more pictures were sketched out.

This is what happens when I try to take time off. I end up getting an idea and I have to do something with it! XD So as it turns out, June may very well get a themed sequence after all. It will be a while before it's done, but I hope you enjoy this happy accident all the same!

For what the sequence is about, here it is. The set takes place as Dorothy is being told she always had the power to go back home. However, I took a page from the first song in the film where she sings "If little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow, oh why can't I?". She visits a balloon exhibitionist while running away from home, and her original ticket out of Oz was another balloon. It only made sense that if she were to fly beyond the rainbow and go home, she'd have to become a hot air balloon! XD So now, instead of making Dorothy close her eyes and chant for quarantine, Glinda is distracting her from the real spell that she placed on her.
