The State of Damaged
Added 2022-10-15 07:41:19 +0000 UTCPersonally, things are going well, but an ongoing degradation in my internet connection was recently given an ETA of January to be fixed. That's cool, I still had some internet.
Then we got 4 days straight of rain.
I was down to a few hundred kb/s (yes, kilo-bit). Called my ISP to see if things could be sped up, they asked me to reset my modem. Now it won't sync at all. Going to get a call back from them on Monday (office hours) regarding what they can do. Until then I have 4GB of data on my phone.
On the plus side, I might start getting more written, so who knows?
EDIT: Welp, internet is back. Still got a bug or two to iron out, but other than that I have as much data as I can snarf down again.

internet isn't much better in USA (for some areas), i basically pay for 3 internet connections because sometimes the ISP one will just drop off the face of the earth (stability/reliability wise), practically have to replace the equipment every 1-2 years now (when i seem to recall them lasting up to 5-6 before-10ish years ago)
