I try to avoid fun facts and trivia but I love The Who too much not to be the first. This was filmed at Shepparton studios in 1963. In 1978 The Who filmed their set for Jeff Stein’s The Kids are Alright which included their performances of Baba O’Reilly and Won’t Get Fooled Again. Ridley Scott was at the same time filming Alien at Shepparton and the cast took a break to join the crowd to watch The Who and someone really dug their lasers and got the idea to borrow them for the opening derelict spaceship scene. I’m not sure if this was before or after Jon Finch (from Hitchcock’s Frenzy and Polanski’s MacBeth) was replaced by John Hurt. Any chance you could react to that Won’t Get Fooled Again Shepparton clip? All you Millennials dig it. And it’s got a good beat and is easy to dance to. And Roger is so hunky. Now that’s a Taxicab Confession.

Turgidson's "secretary") has her rear end covered by an issue of Foreign Affairs, which is the leading foreign policy publication in the US.
