Update on Things - 14/09/25

So yeah there wasn't Chapter 29 this past week, I'm really sorry about that. I was very busy with packing for my second year of uni and well also dealing with a rather personal and unexpected family crisis that just demoralized me and sapped me of the mood and time to write. It's a bit hard to want to write when... well I'll keep that private but let's just say while I'm not directly affected, one of my siblings is and so yeah... Life.

I haven't been idle though. I put the time to good use and I have better outlined Chapters 29, 30, and 31 so once I have time I should be able to write them without writer's block getting in my way. This coming week until the 21st I have a lot of time so I will endeavor to finish 29 and post it.

Sept 22nd I start my new second year of university so I shall keep you all updated on what the schedule looks like as I ease back into uni life and handle my lectures, assignments etc. Worst case scenario we go back to the monthly updates we had when I was in my first year.

I'm feeling a bit more confident with my time management and so forth this year though, so we shall see. Might be able to do two chapters a month every now and then who knows. Or might be I'll do just one D&C chapter and then use the remaining time to outline the story all the way until the end and finish and post the last three chapters of my Daemon Blackfyre story, The King of Knights, if any of you are reading it. Divide and Conquer is also now at the point in time where I feel really confident that I can finish it sometime next year, even with just monthly updates. Possibly by Chapter 45 if my current plans work out (more outlining is needed to confirm this).

Feels a bit surreal that I can now see the finish line for D&C. So I'd like to thank all of you again for your continuous support for the past three-four years and I hope that you will continue to support me as I move to the finish line for my last two currently planned ASOIAF stories.

After D&C and TKOK, I think it will be fun to branch out to another fandom for once. I've been writing in the world of ASOIAF for my whole creative career and once those two stories are done, I think I will have written everything I wanted to and explored all outcomes I wanted in Martin's world. I've mentioned elsewhere what future plans are but if you haven't seen them yet, I intend to move into the Star Wars fandom and start writing a long-form epic story there once D&C is completed. Would love to see you all carry over to that story when the time comes and continue your support!
