These three men here are very hard workers! (especially the two behind Nigel)

You've got to be a special kind of musician to work well with Jareth. You need to recognize his body language and subtle ques for any improvisation mid-session. You must also be ready to jam out/improv music at any time.

Sheet music changes, including sudden changed notes or even shifted keys is common. You must also be ready to learn new foreign instruments!

They're free to toy around with the music and make artistic liberties while playing through the pieces, but that's only because Jareth likes their natural sound. If they added things that he did not enjoy, they would not work well with him.

They must also be ready to be awoken at 3am to a sudden need for their talents. When Jareth needs to hear a song, he needs to hear it.

Jareth is a very soft toned boss though, and these lads may be the only ones who have managed to understand how he communicates. If they didn't, they wouldn't know what the hell to play!
