HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well, it's about that time for the ol' new-year sappy thank-you post! I will spare you the introductory frills and teary-eyed sentiments and just get straight to the point: 

You guys have collectively made this the BEST year ever.

On New Year's Eve last year, I was channeling Lieutenant Dan when the ball dropped. I felt stuck after a year full of lockdowns, closures and financial strain sapped a lot of my creative energy. I knew something needed to change, but I had no idea where to start. A little over a month later I decided to shake things up with a cross-country move just for funsies, and I decided to dive headfirst into commissions to an extent I had never done before. I took some crazy risks, worked countless late nights and early mornings, and made some major investments in both my business and myself.  I made record sales on my website and finally reached that sweet, sweet, 10k followers milestone on instagram.

But what has warmed my heart the most this past year, out of all of the amazing things that have happened, is the immense, unbelievable growth that I have experienced here on Patreon, thanks to you incredibly supportive folks. I'm still left scratching my head every time I think about how each and every one of you has made the decision to support me; some of you have been here for a day, some of you have been here for a year, some of you even longer. No matter how long you have been here for, no matter how long you stay here for, I owe you (and will forever owe you) any and every smidgeon of success that I enjoy as a freelance artist. 

Being able to pay my bills every month doing something that I love isn't just some treat to be taken for granted, it isn't something I take lightly. You guys - YOU guys - are the ones who make my life possible. Think about that for a sec. Do you know how insanely crazy it is that my entire professional/creative life as I know it exists entirely thanks to you? I owe so much to you.

This next year I'm going to be sinking some major time into being the best I can be for you guys. We're gonna have some fun with art, stickers and prints on here, we're gonna have some fun in the discord server, and I'm going to continue working every day to ensure that I'm worthy of the support you give. 

Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for everything. Let's make this year the best yet!
