MID-MARCH BRIEF
Added 2020-03-24 00:06:51 +0000 UTCHey, guys! Obviously a mid-month brief is a little unprecedented, but, as we all know, a lot has changed since the beginning of March.
First and foremost, I hope that you and your loved ones are safe, healthy and adequately protected from all that could do you harm. While there's no doubt that the degree of uncertainty surrounding this whole situation is leaving everyone feeling uneasy, perhaps even panicked or scared, I feel that it's beneficial to try to expend some of that anxious energy by distracting yourself; play a game, read a book, watch a movie, or get to know whoever you're quarantined with a little better. For those of you who are still going out into the world daily for work, I wish you the best of luck and the best of health.
I count myself among those lucky enough to do their work entirely from home; I do all of my commissions, drawings and shipping of orders from my tiny desk, so theoretically my workflow shouldn't be impacted. However, as most of you know, I'm a university student and my classes were moved entirely online, so I also have to deal with weird virtual class shit on top of delayed production from the companies I make my stickers and apparel through. So far this has resulted in delayed arrivals of both S-Rank and A-Rank stickers. Hopefully this will be remedied by the time the next month rolls around, but I'll take things as they come.
I am also working on wrapping up a lengthy round of commissions. Once I am finished entirely, I will be closing commissions for a week or so to have a small break for personal art. I'll mention all of this via story posts on my instagram once I'm finished with these last few commissions, so stay tuned there if you're planning on commissioning me in the near future.
All in all, I wish I could say I had a solid idea of how I'll approach these next few months and all of the projects and goals I had previously planned for this year, but I really don't. We're all feeling a little fucked by the grand year of 2020, so I think it's best to just roll with the punches and not get too settled into any plans. Again, I'm just going to take things as they come.
I hope all of you continue to stay happy and healthy.
