Hollywood What If Chapter 526

A few years ago, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Curse Of The Black Pearl received a couple of nominations from the Academy Awards. They were the Best Actor, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup, Best Original Score, and Visual Effects Awards.

Out of all of these nominations... None won an award. Look at that: seven nominations, but none won an Award. This showed how prejudiced the Academy Awards were.

Johnny Depp was actually excited when he realized that he got a nomination, but the Academy Awards didn't like box office movies, so he didn't give him a chance at all.

Yeah, the members of the Academy gate keep their small community of rich hypocrite bastards in Hollywood.

Anyway, after five years, Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End got a few nominations from the Academy Awards. Unfortunately, Johnny Depp didn't get a nomination since he already got one. Hey, having an Oscar nomination was already an achievement because only a few actors could get that nomination every year.

This year, Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End got two nominations from the Academy Awards... The announcement happened on January 22 and only a few people from Grey Pictures attended that small gathering. Everyone knew that even if Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End got nominations, it would be hard for the movie to win even one.

It's funny because Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End was the highest-grossing movie last year. This movie garnered so many fans all over the world, and they would probably be disappointed that the Academy Awards didn't give a fuck about the box office... The members of the Academy Awards were only interested in keeping their status and power as an organization.

A decade from now, the Academy Awards will become a laughing joke. They let a guy who created a mess and slapped a host win the Best Actor Award, showing how they had no common sense at all. Man, it was just a joke. Why go so far as assaulting someone?

As for the Academy Awards, not cool. You just supported an assault and your organization's reputation would be blemished forever.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End got nominations for two awards, which were Best Makeup and Best Visual Effects. These two were minor awards.

When Kazir heard that the Academy took pity on their movie and gave it two nominations, he just laughed. He thought that Pirates Of The Caribbean wouldn't get nominations this year.

As for John Wick: Chapter 3 β€” Parabellum, it would be a miracle if this action-packed, blood, raw, and pure testosterone kind of movie would get nominations. Only something unique as Taken would get that privilege since the movie affected the community in a bigger way.

In January, only three movies performed well. Again, this schedule was not that of a great month to release movies. Only a few high-quality movies could make money this month. On top of that, the best amount these movies could earn was only around $200 million at best.

27 Dresses was a movie released in the third week of January. It was produced and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The movie grossed over $206 million.

In the same week, Cloverfield was released... This movie was interesting and unique. It was found in the footage genre, with a bit of a documentary vibe. Produced by Bat Robot and distributed by Paramount Pictures, this unique alien invasion movie grossed over $201 million.

As for the third movie that performed well in January, it was Rambo... Yeah, for some reason, this installment of Rambo had no clear number to identify which sequel it was so the audience was a bit confused. Although the avid fans of Rambo knew that this was the fourth movie of the franchise.

After Carolco Pictures went bankrupt, the rights to the Rambo franchise were acquired by Miramax. Naturally, the distributor of this movie was Miramax. Miramax had international distribution lines. That was the biggest reason why the Big Six was threatened by this studio, leading Walt Disney to acquire the studio to make sure Miramax wouldn't flourish that much.

If Grey Pictures followed Miramax's steps and acquired distribution lines, the company would probably be gone right now or acquired by one of the Big Six... The latter part still happened even though Grey Pictures didn't have distribution lines. As of now, Grey Pictures still relies on 20th Century Fox to distribute their movies, and the partnership is strong.

In a certain location in Los Angeles, the night sky was dim because of the smoke the city produced every day. It didn't help that the location was covered by artificial mist from fog machines.

Extras were wearing ninja suits and looking scary; they were wearing prop weapons, which were made of rubber but looked like real blades.

Kazir Grey was sitting a few meters away from the scene, holding a megaphone. They got a permit to film in this street, but only tonight, so the schedule was tight.

Enzo, standing in a relaxed way, despite a smear of blood(fake) on his face, was waiting for Kazir's signal.

"All right, I'm looking for raw action. This part is where Raizo shows why he's the best Ninja in the clan."

For that, Enzo nodded and took the director's reminder seriously.

After that, the people turned quiet as the assistant director, Everest, made a slap sound using the clapperboard after announcing the scene and the number of takes.

"Scene 28. Fighting the Ninjas in the downtown. Take 8."

The camera rolled.

Enzo and the extras started moving. Enzo was moving like an acrobatic... He was trying to follow the steps of most Asian actors in Hollywood β€” by doing most of the action stunts. Thankfully, Enzo was an expert in martial arts so he didn't have a problem moving around. They also practiced these stunts so many times and it helped a lot now that the filming was happening.
