Hollywood What If Chapter 161

The month of November was busy for Kazir Grey. He had a lot of things to do, the Bourne Identity project was ongoing and even Taken 2 was getting prepared. 

Fremont Smith was too busy convincing Liam Neeson and his team. He drafted storyboards making sure to entice Liam. He promised that his image for the second movie would be better. 

Thankfully, Liam Neeson had a good relationship with the crew and he talked to Fremont Smith a few times. Still, the actor was skeptical if Fremont had the capability to handle the project. It would be a lie if he was not mad at Kazir for leaving Taken 2 to film the Bourne Identity instead.

In the end, the two sides had a consensus. Fremont Smith would film some action scenes, if he could make a proper film, then Liam and his agent might think about it. 

After that would be the tug of war of salary, Harold Witsend had to take the position and make sure that contract they signed last time would be respected. They could give Liam Neeson a bonus but that depends on the performance of Taken 2. 

While Fremont and Harold were losing their hair over Taken 2, Kazir Grey attended the premiere of The Hangover 2. 

At the TCL Chinese Theatre. 

With his tuxedo, he waved his hand at the fans who were whistling and screaming his name. Apparently, he was quite famous. 

Since he was just a guest, he didn't have to steal the limelight and immediately entered the theater. 

There, he found the cast of The Hangover 2. Even Terry Semel, the CEO of Warner Bros, was communicating with people. 

Kazir looked around until he saw someone he was looking for. 

Reese Witherspoon was wearing a gown and she was stunning as always. Kazir Grey didn't see Reese for almost half a year now after her role in There's Something About Mary. 

Reese Witherspoon was talking to someone when she found Kazir a few meters away from him. 

The woman smiled nonchalantly and waved her hand, greeting him in the process. 

Kazir sighed in relief when he realized that Reese was doing well. 

He approached the woman, trying to tell him about his story. 

"Reese-"

"Kazir, it's nice to meet you. I know that you want to talk to me, how about we talk after the movie?"

Reese kept her sweet smile. 

"That would be great."

Kazir agreed. 

The two looked at each other and the awkwardness in them lingered. In the end, they didn't know what to say. 

Kazir's seat was a bit from Reese so the two parted ways.

Just like usual, a successful director like him would be greeted by many actors. He was used to it anyway, but it didn't mean that he like it. 

The Hangover 2 started. Kazir wrote the original version, but still, he knew that Warner Bros would try to 'polish' the script. Either by adding some scenes, or changing some scenes. 

Fortunately, the overall plot of the movie was close to the original. Based on the response of the audience, the movie was entertaining. 

The theater was filled with laughter. Even Kazir could not help but laugh. The fact that Mike Tyson reprised his role as himself in the movie made it better.

After the screening, the cast related to the movie stayed to get interviewed by reporters and fans. 

Reese Witherspoon invited Kazir to a dinner and they went to a high-end restaurant with strong security. No paparazzi could tail them. 

The two sat down. Even though they were having a conversation, they could feel the awkwardness between them. 

Suddenly, Reese paused and looked at Kazir who was currently cutting a medium rare steak. 

"Kazir, I think we should not see each other for a while."

Kazir heard what she said clearly. He gently put down the utensils and stared at the woman. 

"Why?"

Reese smiled at continued. 

"I know that you're relationship with Cameron Diaz is fake and it's only to promote John Wick. Still, it would be bad if the media caught us together while you're having a relationship with Cameron Diaz. Your reputation will be sullied."

"... Is it because of me?"

"No. Of course not..."

Reese Witherspoon decided not to tell him about all her feelings. She couldn't accept that Kazir chose Cameron Diaz over her. They know each other better than Cameron Diaz. 

If there was one thing she didn't like, Kazir helped Cameron Diaz and boosted her fame. 

She remembered 20th Century Fox tried to ask Kazir if he was interested in having a relationship with Reese Witherspoon to promote the movie There's Something About Mary. Well, Kazir didn't agree. 

Of course, Reese Witherspoon was on Kazir's side at that time. She didn't want a fake relationship and she didn't like that 20th Century Fox would use Kazir Grey to promote her movie. 

Still, she could not help but be mad. She was a person who has feelings. 

"... Is this what you want?"

"Yes."

She nodded. Clearly making her decision. 

Kazir looked down at his plate and agreed. He knew that he was the reason why this situation was happening. He didn't have an excuse, it would be a disrespect to Reese. 

"Okay, I respect your decision."

The two continued their late dinner... Yet none of them spoke a word.

The first week of The Hangover 2 was terrifying. When Sunday arrived so many film companies contacted Grey Pictures to buy any whatsoever scripts that Kazir Grey registered in the Writer's Guild. 

Why? Simple, the box office of The Hangover 2 was a whopping $117.56 million! The movie was only released for four weeks and it already broke the $100 million mark! 

Even Universal Pictures which had secret bad blood with Kazir Grey dropped all the pretense and contacted Kazir personally!

[Realistically, it's impossible to have a harem relationship. It's not going to work. However, this is a fiction. I know that some of you didn't like harem and I will respect that.
