Added 2022-06-12 18:48:36 +0000 UTCI had planned not to write anything this week, but that didn't happen as I seem to enjoy writing too much. As a result, you are getting three new chapters this week for free. Yay!
As for how I'm doing, well, ups and downs. I went on vacation with my extended family and it was good I had them as I spent most days on the verge of entering into a deep depression and then going to spend time with them to stop myself from doing so. (My family is kind of great. Just wish a single one of them would be at all interested in reading what I write.)
There were a couple nights at the beginning where I couldn't sleep at all, and I had a cold almost the entire time which wasn't fun, but I'm definitely starting to do better now so, even though I'm alone again in my apartment, I don't think I'll get in too bad a state this week. So, yay!
Also, in case anyone missed it, I made a discord server. Feel free to talk there and make any channels you'd like. I would especially like everyone's input on a story I'll probably start to post which, in the future, I'll start to shop around to agents for a traditional style of publishing.
Also, if anyone has a spare couple minutes, if you could review Shadow of the Soul King on ScribbleHub it would be a huge help to getting the story readers and maybe me getting back to working on it full time in the future.

The ratings manipulation there is far worse than on RoyalRoad, and also 100% done by the site. From what I hear, you can't delete your story if you post it there. And it doesn't sound like the patreon conversion is at all good as they delete every mention of patreon to try and force you to use their monetization pathway. But that way lies an extremely exploitative contract. So, altogether, it just sounds like more work on my part for pretty much no gain. I might try Wattpad at some point, though.

2022-06-12 20:48:22 +0000 UTCI've had to change my posting schedule of free chapters from 5 a week to 3 so I can have time to job search, and my tiers only promise being a few weeks ahead while Contract Lawyer patrons are already more than 6 chapters ahead, so I was thinking about making it so they would be 6 chapters ahead from now on. That does seem a bit unfair given how that wasn't what you'd been expecting at the beginning of the month, but I wasn't expecting to be forced to stop writing full time and I'm not really sure what I should do. I wasn't actually expecting to post new chapters this weekend. What do you all think?
