1440...

Hi people!

I just wanted to share some info about the project that I'm involved in. It's called 1440 Makers and I have been invited to help in any way I could, either by modeling something or joining in their 24h stream.

"1440Makers came about at the start of 2020 from an idea to help out our Aussie cousins who were being ravaged by bushfires. The 3d printing and maker communities are known for helping one another out either when we get stuck on projects or simply fleshing out an idea, so we decided that the "we can help" attitude could be expanded to help others.

With that in mind and after talking with a some community members, 1440Makers was formed. 1440 minutes in a day and a Maker community who are ready and willing to help others.

Our first charity drive will be on January 25th / January 26th 2020 (depending on your time zone) where we will run a 24 hour live stream for Australian bushfire relief. We will primarily promote 3D models that were designed specifically to be 3d printed. The models will be hosted on Gumroad ( https://gumroad.com/1440makers ) and people can make a payment or give a donation for the models. After the stream is over, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to givit ( http://givit.org.au )"

I will be in the stream from 5-9PM CET with some other cool people like my bro Fotis, Chris Riley, Uncle Jessy... Come and say hi or just spread the word!

I've also created one model that will be on the gumroad....

All the profit from this model will go to the charity.

This model actually took a lot of time to finish, I was fighting against some ideas and I've spend a lot of time judging myself until I've picked the direction that was interesting enough for me. I hope you like it.

Back to business...
I had a lot of positive response to the TNG characters and I plan to do more during the next month, Worf and Laforge will be the first ones to join mini Picard and Data.

I'm also working on my Kong diorama and one of the models I would really like to finish soon is the Duke Nukem.
