With this chapter in particular, I wanted to show people that Satine is not *JUST* the super nice person we see in other parts of the story, but someone who is just as flawed as everyone else in this plot. I think it's important to note that while Satine is good, he's still working with the coven, and still doesn't fully understand why Battam rejects them. I had a lot of fun writing all of this!!!
