Don't forget this, new and old Patrons!

With so many new Patrons, I wanted to make another post about capping your pledge!
When you sign up with my page, you can select to cap your pledge at a certain amount. (This can be done after pledging as well, under the "My Membership" tab that appears under your name at the top right.)
You still get all of the rewards of that tier as long as you are paying the base price of $1, $3, or $5!
My Patreon is set to charge "per update" and I only EVER update a MAX of 4 times a month BUT this does not mean YOU need to be charged 4 times a month.
In case you were wondering how to adjust it: at the top right of this page, where your icon is, click the "My Memberships" tab, from there, find my name/icon and click the "edit" button and enter "5.00" as your monthly limit for what you pay.
This way, you are only charged $5, once a month, instead of four times a month. This applies to any pledge amount.
Or, you could be charged just $10, or $15, or whatever amount you choose! This way of paying let's people be more flexible with their support if they wanna put in JUST that bit extra!
The reason I have it set to "per update" is that it directly corresponds with how much work I put into the Patreon (there are rare occasions where it only charges 3 times, or 2) , and let's people at the $1 tier put in more than just $1 because Patreon takes a HUGE chunk of that $1, so sometimes people wanna pay extra to cover that chunk!
AND AS A SUGGESTION: If you're a $1 Patron, paying $4 a month-- you could upgrade your pledge by just a dollar and get a lot more content!
All you gotta do is pledge at the $5 tier and put a CAP on your pledge at $5 and viola, Secret Club Membership.
Putting a cap on your pledge is as easy as upgrading! When doing so, there is a box where you simply tell Patreon you only want to spend $5 MAX in a month, and that's all you're charged and viola! Club membership!

Anyways, I hope this helps clear stuff up! I've been trying to work on my clarity around here and help make everything a bit more appealing PLUS I don't want anyone paying more than they intended just because Patreon's system isn't super clear. :Sc

You may have selected the setting to start, OR when you pledged Patron may have had the default be different-- but I've found a LOT of people do not know about the cap or have it uncapped from the start. More than a few times I've gotten an angry message saying, "I didn't know it would be SO EXPENSIVE!" which is again why I wish Patreon made this more clear to people and it's why I put warnings and reminders everywhere :x
