Solanaceae: The Visual Novel (Game Development) Seeking characters for cameos Fennel Town!

Hey hey all!

As many of you may know, I've been working on the second update for the Sola VN (just in my spare time atm, since Tomai is what I work on during my VN dev days) and I was curious if anyone wanted to submit a character for a cameo in the first town, Fennel Town.

KEEP IN MIND: This will not be your only chance to apply for a cameo spot; so think carefully about if this town is the right fit for your character.

A cameo spot would consist of: your character standing in town (or somewhere else) and a "mini-cg" (not a bust) would appear of them, and Battam and/or Sal or Satine will have a conversation with them and they will talk about the world a little bit. It's mostly for flavor and giving the game a sense of being alive and full of people.

Nobody is obligated to submit a character btw, this is just for fun.

🌿ABOUT FENNEL TOWN:

Fennel Town is the first town you visit in the game, and the town closest to Battam and Sal's house. The town has no local witch; and not witches live in town or even visit. The town is known for it's fruits and vegetables-- especially it's namesake, fennel! The town and it's people are very excited about farming and gardening, and are humble. Most of their entertainment comes from the local library.

🌿SPOTS I'M LOOKING TO FILL:

• 2 characters on the main road (as shown above)
• 2 characters on the side road, by some farmland (not shown here, but it's where the Mayor's office is)
• Fennel Town's librarian!

🌿CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be human, or an elf. I cannot accept any characters with blue, pink, purple, white, or any hair that looks too dyed. (If you have a character with bright hair, they would most likely be a witch in the world-- but because of that, they cannot appear in this town!)
• This is the most "vanilla" of the towns, so characters with simple looks, simple backstories, and simple attitudes fit best. Laid back people who are just living their life would do well in Fennel Town.
• I need a full color character ref-- just a bust ref is fine as I'll most likely be making up a new outfit for your character. I'll need a short summary of your character's personality as well.
• That should be about it!

PLEASE keep in mind I cannot always accept every character cameo request. Solanaceae as a world has some pretty strict rules that I follow, so some character designs may need to be changed or just simply cannot appear in this area.

That said; don't be shy when applying because I'm quite flexible and can usually make things work as long as you're willing to be flexible as well! 🌿
