Kurt Hugo Schneider's 6x6 diagonal Sudoku
Added 2023-09-17 15:00:59 +0000 UTCWe hope you've had a chance to look at this very clever puzzle constructed by Kurt by now. (Link below if not). Kurt sent it to us as he's been investigating geometric properties in 6x6 puzzles (as you do!)
There is an old Patreon video on properties of diagonal 6x6 puzzles in which Kurt himself proves the property relevant to solving this one... it's linked below if you want to check it out.
Anyway, armed with some knowledge of the theory, Simon decided to give it a go! Let us know if you think we should post this one on the main channel at some point!!

Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply. Along a long diagonal (marked in blue) digits may not repeat. Clues outside the grid give the sum of the digits along the indicated diagonal. The cage clue gives the sum of its cage. x is a number that must be determined.

Comments
Simon, please publish Kurt's video about Rangsk's puzzle (One hundred and five). See also my comment below your video about Potatohead's theorem and its permutations. They provide additional constraints acting on the symmetric configuration of 6x6 X-sudokus.
