I don't have much deeper context for this, other than I wanted Enji to be a younger version of himself. A brash space cadet, out there on a mission. No one knows why he keeps signing up on missions to this one specific planet...👀
I had no idea how big of a twist designing alien Hawks would put my brain into! Found out that I can be pretty confident coming up with designs for fantasy monsters, but extraterrestials, much like space, blow my simple little mind 😂 It's a rabbit hole of "hmmmm but... why would he have humanoid features if... if he's not of earth.... " into thinking of the terrifying endlessness of cosmos and life forms beyond our comprehension! Jesus christ! Had to pull the reigns back a little bit, and I think this bird and moth-esque combo turned out really fun.
