[Preview] Upcoming 1.0.0 Features

Version 1.0.0 is almost here! On Christmas, December 25th it is time for the public release! I will test this version thoroughly on multiple stream days beforehand (more information about that in a separate post on Discord and YouTube). Note that after version 1.0.0, I will continue working on the TOTK Randomizer for now and updates will be available on Patreon! Let me guide you through all the changes and additions that were added from v0.9.15.

When fighting against Ganondorf and the Demon Dragon, there will now be randomized enemies and specific environmental changes as an extra challenge. You might be lucky and just have to fight against a Bokoblin or you are unlucky and got to face a Lynel. There are a lot of possibilities! Ganondorf (both phases) now also got 20% more health points.

Randomizer statistics can now be reviewed at any time from the Randomizer Staff main menu and will be automatically displayed upon defeating the Demon Dragon, as well as some ending text. Also, enemies can now randomly spawn in Shrines as well. Note that only Blessing Shrines are supported at this point in time.

2 new Special Events have been added (1 Lucky & 1 Challenge) and the interval for them to possibly trigger has been slightly shortened. Additional information for a specific Special Event has been added too, as well as some more top secret developer tips. The Credits section has been overhauled and expanded by adding Tool Creators, Patreon Messages, Special Thanks, etc. sections.

As for the changes. The chance to obtain Vows from chests and NPCs and the chance to obtain Key Items from the Randomizer Cycle has been slightly decreased. The maximum time a damaging environment can be active has been decreased from 180 to 90 seconds and the maximum amount of prohibitions active has been decreased from 2 to 1 to allow for more freedom.

Enemies can now spawn randomly on even more objects in the game such as the bridges, cliffs, etc. and the randomized spawn system has been improved by removing unnecessary and likely confusing code for the game. Furthermore, Aerocudas, Evermeans, Flux Constructs, Frox, Gibdos, Hinoxes and Stone Taluses now spawn more frequently and closer around the player.

The Hylian Shield has been moved from the Weapons/Shields pool to the Key Items pool and the "Change Cycle speed." option has been moved above the "Toggle Cycle Events." option in the "Configure options." menu.

Lastly, a bug has been fixed where you would lose items in your second inventory when doing a specific quest. Unnecessary code has been removed and the memory usage has been slightly optimized. The FPS has been optimized by reduced draw distance for Aerocudas, Evermeans, Flux Constructs, Frox, Gibdos, Hinoxes and Stone Taluses that can spawn randomly.
