Faster or More?

A bit of clarification.

It's better to put it in numbers, it'll be clearer. To understand, the last update 1.6 included 298 pages in the draft. And the 1.5 update before last was 368 pages.

Now I have the 280-page draft of the next update done. But there's a tiny little problem... Due to December being devoured by illness, I'm lacking a bloody month of work. Sensing that people would be waiting and pissed off, I then decided to release a shorter update, labeling it as 1.6.5 with a release date around ~mid-February. But I was constantly haunted by a feeling of some sort of incompleteness. As if the events had better be expanded a bit more, give a plot pre-set for the next episode, fully introduce new characters... Maybe one, or maybe ten, who knows, who knows... I can't be more specific because of the rule: "Shut up and don't spoiler!"

In theory, 1.6.5 ends at about page 220 of the draft. So why did I write another 60 pages? It's because of that feeling of incompleteness. The problem is that the draft better expands further, to ~350 pages. Or maybe even more, except...  I don't have that exact damn month of work for it, which I lost in December, yup. And it's time for me to admit it.

But you know what, this is exactly the kind of thing where I can leave it up to you guys to decide and stop racking my brains over it. After all, who better than the game's patrons to decide what they want to get and when?

Variants and their impact on timing.

1. Faster. Update 1.6.5. Ends around page 220 of the draft and will be released in February. It may not be a big update, but hey, small things are cute!
2. More. Update 1.7, for which I'll expand the draft to ~350 (or more) pages. But the release date shifts to March. A solid, extended update, that pretty much covers the original idea.

When the vote is completed in a week (07.02.2024), the publication will become publicly available the next day.

Welcome and thank you. Yeah, I saw your comments on that site. It's a pretty cool place. And quite lively too, judging by the number of comments. I don't know who exactly from there adapted Inner Empire for mobile devices, but that person did a good thing. P.S. Well, to some extent it is a classic rpg. Just touches on non-classical themes. Sometimes with a very close... touches.

Hey! Greetings to you Defiant Explorer;-πŸ˜‡), it's the lonely wolf from @MOPOGA! Just pledged for you, with the aim of rallying your noble banner!🀝! Without transition now, for the subject of the moment I can only completely agree with HarleyQueen comment: after all it would seem that everything comes in time to those who wait, isn't it obvious? Cause the good quality of things always has an additional cost, whether it is money or time let's not forget that... Oh yes, I haved almost forgot: I'm very pleased that you seem to be refocusing on the general story at the moment. Not because the sex scenes are bad or what, but in fact for me: how can I say that?πŸ€”? Warning, big spoiler|-> in short, I don't even use your game to jerk off!+! I just play this as a classic rpg game. And so, uh why? I hope my brain is in good health?πŸ€’? Well, in any case I wish you good luck with all this pending work;-πŸ‘)...

Lonely Wolf

I remember those times when I, just another player, was waiting for an update for some game, and in my mind was something like: "What a lazy asses! If it were me doing it, I'd do it faster! Because I'm not a lazy ass!" Ha ha! Ha-ha-ha... fuck...

While I voted for the earlier release, really either way is fine. Believe it or not, your still on a faster release schedule than most of the games I follow, sadly, which is understandable as programming and writing these things take forever and more.

Well, it's not really about my pace or not at my pace. I will be focusing mostly on purely technical work until the voting ends. Things that need to be done anyway. And then I'll rely on the vote's results. If the first option prevails, then I'll focus on further transferring the draft into the game itself, code, testing, etc. And if the second option prevails, then back again on the text expansion, making additional arts for new scenes, etc. So... I'll be fine with either option, I guess.

I am in the team that can wait for your updates. You are a human being and nobody can rush you. Take your time and release updates at your own pace. Don't let us influence you!
