Yes, they came on the boat and they stayed on the boat inside since it was daytime and sent the guy to wreck havoc on the town before they got there at night. He was suppose to turn him but the main vampire just killed him instead. The vampires didn't want to leave any witnesses so they would remain a secret and just go town to town and feed off people. That's why they burned the town, to get rid of evidence.

Here's a recommendation of pure horror, Dracula dead and loving it with Leslie Nielsen but of course if you haven't seen Bram Strokers Dracula, watch that one first.

But Barrow, Alaska is the furthest population north in all the Western Hemisphere. There are no roads into Barrow, only plane & ship which makes gas & food prices insanely expensive up there! They call it " Arctic prices." For example a gallon milk...$14.00... a watermelon... $36.00. I'm not kidding

2024-10-03 05:04:30 +0000 UTCI think there were a lot of nods to the original story of Dracula. This film was also adapted from a graphic novel (written by the head vampire, no less). In the original there was a character called Renfield who was bitten but not turned. He prepped things for the vampires entry into Bavaria and England as he was promised to be turned, which never happened. The vampires arrived on a ship to England, as did the ones in the movie. The premise in the movie was they could feed and wreak havoc in Barrow because of the 30 days of darkness. The vampire who planned the trip invited an elder vampire to join them, but they eventually burned the town to destroy evidence, as recommended by this elder.
