YOU CAN'T handle the TRUTH". Great performances by Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon and even Kiefer Sutherland. Also I had forgotten that Cuba Gooding Junior snuck into this movie, Just like Coming to America ... sneaky actor.

2023-12-21 19:56:47 +0000 UTCThe scene where Tom Cruises imitates Jack Nicholson. It’s important to realize that Kevin Pollock (Lieutenant Weinberg) is a stand-up comic. I first saw him during HBO’s series, “One Night Stand.” He does some amazing actor imitations of; William Shatner, Robin Williams, and Jack Nicholson, to name a few. He must of thought to himself of Tom Crusie’s attempt and thought, “Not bad…I can do better.”

Just like Scarface, “Say hello to my little friend!” Or Jaws, “You’re going to need a bigger boat.” Or even you quoting the Shining, “Here’s Johnny!” Great film and so happy you watched this one. Have you ever seen First Blood? Oh and I was surprised you didn’t recognize Kevin Pollack when you just saw The Grumpy Old Men movies.

One of the things that makes this channel stand out and so watchable is the tremendous breadth of the films you feature on it. You have reviewed classics aplenty yes, but so many cracking hidden gems like Suicide Kings that I never cease to be amazed. And you're both such obvious movie lovers, it's great to see such passion for film from you both. You're a trip to watch, I love this channel.

2023-12-06 14:51:32 +0000 UTCI watched this one a few months back for the first time, and it didn't necessarily thrill me... everyone knows the "you cant handle the truth" line where this comes from, so i figured it was epic, but it didn't really strike me. I think it's a good movie that jack nicholson shined in later in his career, and my favorite line was "did we come here to talk about phone calls and foot lockers".

My son has special needs but he memorized Jack's entire speech on the stand 🤣 it sounds so wrong when he says "pick up a weapon & stand at post" or "you want me on that wall - you need me on that wall." Also sweet Asia the line You Can’t Handle the truth became so common for folks to use as well as Crystal when Jack asked Tom if he understood and then Tom came back with Crystal. That term has been used many times over the years. FYI this was a Broadway play before it came to the screen. It’s become a real classic. 😘🫶 Love you two, now please think about doing the Hunger Games?!

2023-12-06 01:54:42 +0000 UTCAlso, if you guys are into courtroom stuff with military stuff surrounding it, I highly recommend Rules of Engagement with Samuel L Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones, and then Men of Honor with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Robert DeNiro. Both excellent movies that rank among my favorites, and based on everything I've seen you guys watch and enjoy, I would suggest taking a look at them, or any of the other ones I've brought up today. Love you guys!

I know that the scene between Caffey and Jessup at the end..."YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!" is the one that everyone remembers, but Dawson talking about not disrespecting himself, his unit, or the core...That was fire too! Keven Pollack has some great scenes, Kiefer Sutherland is great too, this movie is just so good on so many levels! I'm really happy you guys decided to react to it! If you like these court type movies, The Rainmaker is really good. John Grisham wrote the book it was based on along with A Time to Kill, The Firm, The Pelican Brief, and The Client...all great movies!

I'm telling you, I'm telling you, you'll be just as moved by these -- Do yourselves a favor and watch "Men of Honor" - Based on tru story - Cuba Gooding Jr., Robert DeNiro, Charlize Theron. Murder in the First - Based on true historical events - Kevin Bacon, Gary Oldman, Christian Slater. "High Crimes" - Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd, James Caveizel. Check them out. You will be glad you did. All excellent films! ✌️🎬

After we witnessed firsthand what they did? Not murder, perhaps, but that was a brutal, disgusting, inhumane thing. You might as well be defending a nazi soldier who did awful, gross things in the name of orders. I'm so glad they actually got a little slap on the wrist. If I'm honest, I wish they got worse.

I'm speaking of the original 1957 black & white film starring Henry Fonda. You will thank me later! Great reaction to this film, guys! It's a terrific movie! Another good one with Tom Cruise that is lawyer-related is THE FIRM. That's another I'd highly recommend.

It's your basic courtroom drama with the twist at the end. I think I'll give it a rewatch with you. Hopefully your reaction makes it better. Thank you guys as always
