Progress Report

Finished Hadrian's route!!!! 🎉🎉

And reached the first possible end of the chapter. Look at this beautiful command.😍

I knew Hadrian would be extensive, but I wasn't expecting nearly 14k words for his final scene. Still, there's a bit more to go, because, just like Lance, I need to fill out some left-behind variables. Most will be quick and sweet, but there's one that'll take a bit longer — it was a random idea that popped into my mind, and now I have to write it.

So, while I'd love to completely finish Hadrian tomorrow, I think it'll be extended to Wednesday.

After that, it's ALESSA!!!! And that's it!! 20 more notebook pages for the end of the chapter. It's so close, I can taste it 😭

I actually wrote a set of dialogues with Hadrian that I'll shelve for now. The more I think about it, the more I realize it's too soon for those. Sometimes, because it's been so long, I forget it hasn't been so long in-game. So, I'll put that conversation in a special 'for later' document. It took me some time to write, but now that I know it's too soon, I won't write them for Alessa, which will make her initial scene go faster.

With how much I've been writing, I'd probably finish the chapter by next Tuesday, but my baby sister is visiting on Wednesday! Unfortunately, she will only stay for a week (😭), but my progress will slow down a lot. I'll still write in the mornings (she and her boyfriend are not morning people xD), but after that, I'll dedicate myself to my family.

On the 22nd onwards, however, I will not rest until this gigantic, enormous chapter is finished. So far, the update is about 97k words — I write things like *label, *goto, *if (female), etc., on the Word doc, so the actual chapter number will be smaller, since I never include code, but still. It's a lot.

That's it! I'm sorry for not making a progress report sooner; I wanted to reach this milestone first! I won't make a progress report until Friday, the 22nd. Until then, I hope your May goes well. 💛
