Hello Grizzly boys!!
I'm cuming to give you some news about our progress on Surviving Purge!
With the new version we've just released, I'm very happy to announce that the gameplay loop and its code are well implemented! Although this will require some rebalancing and improvements over time (such as adding a tech tree), we've done most of the work, which is very satisfying...! Chewy has finished coding the secret base, and has also greatly improved the level editor, as well as the dialog integrator, which will make life much easier for us for the rest of the development. In short, this is a really big step for us here, so I wanted to share this info with you 🙂

A public demo will finally be available next month! It will contain the intro and the first two stages and chapters of the current version, as well as the secret base!

That's a good question! Well, now that the code is well advanced, we've got the chance to give Surviving Purge production a big boost, especially as we've already got all the assets completed for 3 more chapters (including the end of the part of the story that takes place in the goblin district). As you can see, we've also completed a large part of the assets for the reptile section. This means that future versions should be released at a more regular pace from now on!
Since Chewy did most of the work on Surviving Purge, he'll have less to do on this project. So he'll be spending his time developing the brand-new version of Terry and the cold pizza! Since we're starting the project from scratch, we're first thinking of releasing a prototype containing only the gameplay loop, the movement system and the menus (with no story or dialogue). So, we'll have a clearer picture in the coming weeks.
A small improvement to the Robin Morningwood DLC is also planned, notably by making access to Bad bitch mode from the start, so that the player will no longer have to redo each fight twice to unlock the second ending: completing a level in Bad bitch mode will automatically validate Basic bitch mode.
