Terry and the cold pizza #4

Hellloooo Dear Grizzlies!

I'm cumming to tell you about my progress on Terry and the cold pizza. Like the previous news, this one will be quite varied, as I'm working on several things simultaneously.



Pizza Rush and Pervecheck


Terry will be rated as a delivery boy, but also as a pervert. You can increase your delivery rating by delivering pizzas, and your pervert rating by winning fights. I'd like to divide the narrative into two main lines: As his Pizza Rush score rises, we'll discover Terry's “normal” life and slices of his everyday life. Depending on his level of perversity on Pervecheck, we'll move on to a parallel story, centered on the fight against the demons of the underworld. As your scores rise in both areas, you'll also unlock new characters and romances.

Writing and casting


I've finished rewriting the new version of the demo and I'm currently writing the outline of the main story, which I'd like to divide into 2x5 chapters (one chapter unlocked per star on Pizza Rush and per heart on Pervecheck), and a final chapter, once Terry has reached 5/5 on both apps. As with Robin Morningwood, I'm writing a summary of what's going to happen in each chapter, then I'll elaborate on them as production progresses. 



I've also been working hard on the cast Terry will meet along the way. I'd like 10 to 20 different romances, which Terry will unlock as his adventure progresses (about every 0.5 points on the notes). I've been criticized a lot for the lack of diversity in Robin, so I've tried to improve that. I've also increased the number of furry romances, as I understand they've been more popular in Robin, lol. I'll be back to give you a glimpse of each character in the next updates!

UI


I'm currently working on the UI for Terry's phone. I've still got some work to do, so I'd say I'm at 40-50% progress. 

NFTs




At the start of the adventure, Baal will explain that Terry needs to invest in NFTs so that Terry can improve. But Terry is skeptical because he's heard all along that NFTs are a scam. Baal then explains that these NFTs are different, because they were created in hell, and will enable him to really increase some of his stats:

HP: Determines the number of health points in combat.

Stamina: Determines your stamina in combat. Stamina points are used to pay card costs each turn.

Creativity: Determines the maximum number of cards you can have in your hand.

Knowledge: Determines the maximum number of cards in your deck.

Charisma: The more charisma you have, the more money you'll earn on deliveries and at the end of battles.

Lewdness: Allows you to make more sexual encounters during deliveries, but also increases the chances of unlocking scenes with monsters.

Card leveling and picture switching






Terry can increase the effectiveness of his cards on his phone. Each card can be upgraded to level 10 using money.

He can also change the image of certain cards. In the previous update, I showed “character” cards with hot scenes. The issue was that you'd be able to pick up these cards before you'd unlocked the hotscene, which could spoil the scene. So I've added a system that will allow you to change the card's image, depending on whether you've unlocked the scene with the character or not.

New cards and new mobs








I've continued to create new cards, and I've also added a rarity system by adding a small sign in the bottom right-hand corner of each card:

The circle: common card, you'll find between 4 and 5 copies during your adventure.

The triangle: a moderately rare card, of which you can find 2 to 3 copies.

The star: A rare card. You'll find only one.



I've got enough cards and monsters for the demo, so that's a good thing done. I'll be launching a poll in a future update to find out which monster you'd like me to draw new sex scenes with!


Prototyping the delivery system




As in Robin, each day will be divided into 3 parts: AM, PM and Night. At each moment of the day, the player can choose to either deliver pizzas/participate in a fight or launch an available event. The delivery system will consist of delivering as many pizzas as possible in a given time across the city. I'm thinking of offering short sessions (45 seconds) or long sessions (1 minute 30), depending on the player's choice.

Each time a pizza is delivered (after clicking on a specific spot on the city map), a mini-game will be launched. Each mini-game can be completed very quickly (sometimes with just one click). Depending on their success, this will determine whether Terry has made a successful delivery or not, before moving on to the next delivery to another address.

I've currently prototyped around 60 mini-games. I don't know if they'll all be included in the demo, but there's more than enough for now.

This game looks like it refines and improves upon nearly everything that made Robin so entertaining and sexy. Really can't wait to play this!

Our priority is Surviving Purge, so Terry's demo won't be out until next year. I think about March 🤞 but nothing sure yet
