New Tutorial Alert! + Summer Plans...

Alright, finally wrapped up this new tutorial! That was a nasty bug going around - I think my voice is still a little rough in the video, but what can you do?

I hope the After Effects users enjoy this one. Of particular interest is the focus on using the Red/Green Channels. This video highlights just one path you can take, but getting control over those channels opens up all kind of interesting possibilities.

I’ll attach the project file from the video below, but I’m also working on a more comprehensive template with all kinds of extra controls that I’ll share with you guys!

THIS SUMMER

Speaking of templates, I’m gonna be really focusing my energy on getting all of the previous project files built into more friendly templates, actions, tools, and project files on the Texturelabs site. It’ll also make things much easier to find and put to use - I think there’s a lot of good stuff that gets lost in the Patreon archives.

My goal with updating the website was to have it done by my birthday this month (any other Solstice bdays out there?). But since I shifted over to doing all of the coding myself, it’s taking just a bit longer. Ugh... nothing worse than missing a deadline, right? At least it was a deadline I set for myself :)

In any case, I’ve gotta make it priority number one to get the dang site finished! You know that feeling where you just need to get something done? While that project is underway, the Patreon updates might be more focused on sharing those tools, templates, and project files with you guys, rather than trying to add to the tutorial library.

Make no mistake, I’ve got lots of cool ideas for tutorials that I’m anxious to get into (many from your suggestions), but all in due time….
