NEW PRERELEASE TUTORIAL:
The ultimate Photoshop challenge - creating detailed, convincing illustrations with no tablet and only general drawing skills!
We'll take a crack at it with a tool that's long been the weapon of choice for illustrators with a refined skill set: the Smudge Tool. The key for us mortals is getting set up with the right brush... Let me know what you think!
SCI-FI TONES GRADIENT MAP SET:
I'll often sneak a few into a tutorial, but I'm excited to share a full set of 25 of my favorite gradient maps. Inspired by the electric palettes of highly stylized movie posters, I present to you... Texturelabs Sci-Fi Tones! Attached at the bottom of this post.
WEBSITE UPDATES:
Thank you for the ideas and input on Texturelabs site features last month. At the current pace, I'm guessing 2 or 3 months until roll out of the new features. Scott the Web Developer Guy has gone MIA (again), so rather than wait for his return to Earth, I've been rebuilding the website myself with the help of Chat GPT! This thing is amazing. For After Effects users, have you checked out Jake in Motion's video on scripting with Chat GPT? I find these kinds of AI applications to be much more exciting and less ethically questionable than the visual generators like Midjourney. What are you guys using all the new AI gizmos for?
