April 2022 Wrap-up / Texturelabs Live this Week!

Hey everyone, hope your month is off to great start!

This Wednesday and Thursday from 12PM-2PM PST!

Texturelabs on Adobe Live! With Wednesday being May 4th (“May the 4th Be With You”), we’ll be creating some Star Wars-themed propaganda posters.

Lots of good old-fashioned Texturelabs techniques will come into play, plus all those extra considerations that come up when you’re working in real time. Tune in on Behance rather than Youtube so you can pop into the chat and say hello, ask questions, or help guide the creative process! Of course, the streams are always available to watch after they’ve aired live if you don’t have a chance to tune in at that exact time.

NEW TEXTURES THIS MONTH:

By popular demand: T-shirt blanks! Let me know if you guys find these useful - I started to get the hang of shooting them (trickier than I would have thought) and would certainly be up for adding more to the library. You can find these in the Fabric category, or the Newest category.

Comic Book Effects Speed Tutorial

It was fun for me to experiment with the format - I’ll definitely be digging into many of these same principles in the Adobe stream, so tune in for the long version :)

IN OTHER NEWS:

Still cranking away on the finishing touches of this 3D plugin. I’ve been working on finalizing the interface design, and have also implemented a new feature - “Insert Next Visible Layer”, which allows you to add layers into the 3D Object as you go. More on that soon!
