I truly believe that just like you thanked us when we told you to go back and watch the time travel arc, you'll be saying the same thing if you watch this arc. It serves as a really good introduction for the major villains of the Boruto anime and its gonna make you like them so much more.

Boruto also often uses Charackters and plotlines from the anime canon in the manga cannon episodes (just like in this episode), they build on each other.

It may still be a little confusing, though, as the studio decided to milk the series by scattering random canon pieces among a lot of filler
