"Actually it will take place in the forest, not the park," Adam/Ava states.
I slide my gaze to him/her. "That's not—" My words fall short as he/she smiles at me. "Are you actually making a joke?"
He/She sighs. "It's not so rare that it should be a surprise."
"It kind of is," I reply with a chuckle. "But it shouldn't be. So keep it up."
He/She smile returns at that.

Just a little sneak peek of how much easier the conversation is becoming between a BFF MC and Adam/Ava.
I really am loving A being so much more at ease around the MC—even becoming comfortable enough their banter is almost on level with N and A's banter at times!
