2025-06-03 14:38:22 +0000 UTCI think what Nick's feeling when it come's to Mark's half-brother is that he feels like the responsibility has been forced onto him because of Nolan's fuck-ups, and that he doesn't have to take care of the baby just coz of that. This was entirely Nolan's doing, and he has no right to impose that on Mark. Plus, I believe he thinks it would be wrong to do that to Debbie, given that she's still actively dealing with the Nolan problem, and now she has to take care of a child he had with another person. I get him, in that sense. But also seeing it from another perspective, that baby will outlive multiple generations of Thraxans, develop love for them, and mourn them all too. That cannot be good for you. At least with Mark, he will grow and pass with him and Nolan by his side. Also, although he doesn't have to take care of him, he still is a child, let alone his brother. As someone related to him by blood, it's natural that he would be inclined to take care of him. He deserves to be raised well by people who will at least stick around for a little longer and nurture him; not his fault he's in the situation he is in.
