A smile catches me at the thought. "Definitely. It's been too long since we've had a chance to spend any real time together."
If Optimist
"You and your optimism," Mason/Morgan grunts, turning to stare out of the window.
I purse my lips. "Is there something wrong with me being positive?"
"Only if you infect me with it."
I can't help but smile as I nudge him/her. "Don't worry. I'll be sure to be optimistic enough for the both of us."
A smile almost catches his/her lips before he/she bites it back with a shake of his/her head. "Let's just get this over with."

"And your real time together will be under the watchful eye of his husband," Mason/Morgan reminds me.
Some of my enthusiasm deflates before I shrug. "But you'll be there as well."
"Yes, though I'm still unsure why I'm here."
I smile. "Because you want to help me get my friendship back on track?"
He/She arches a brow before a smirk slides across his/her lips. "Or I just hope they'll be some benefit for me later for helping you out."
If Bold
"Then you'll have to make sure and stick out the night to find out," I purr, leaning closer before pulling away when his/her gaze drops to my lips.
He/She scoffs out a breath. "Let's just get this over with."

"Benefit? I don't—Oh…." My voice catches in my throat the same second realisation hits me.
His/Her smile only grows at my fumbling. "Come on. Let's just get this over with so as I can find out."

I roll my eyes. "You're as selfless as always."
"Selflessness isn't my style, sweetheart/handsome." He/She sighs. "Come on. Let's just get this over with."

I'm just dreading reading the part where the MC has to ask M to go... I'm preparing for mean M again during that scene! *shudders* I think M is determined to give the MC whiplash! XD
