I am so glad you are enjoying the series without worrying about the fandom. people will actually turn away from this series becuz of that, which is so dumb. I've gotten co workers to watch this show, but they stopped and havent caught up yet, which I encourage them to becuz it is so good. 2024-08-27 01:04:09 +0000 UTCThe thing that bothers me about Mirio is not him getting his quirk back, but that we don’t get the build up for it. So much of the rest of the story after the arc with Overhaul, is just things happening for shock value, then you get a flashback to explain it, where so much of the story prior was more set up and payoff. There’s still a few good moments that were set up well and paid off but don’t be surprised if there’s a lot more parts of the story that feel shoehorned in for shock and awe.

Most upfront is Midnight, not only a UA staff but Present Mic and Eraser's closest friend besides Shirakumo. Despite her sometimes creepy gimmick she really packed a lot of motivation for her students into her last day of living. Majestic was introduced quietly as Momo's internship during Season 5 and makes a small appearance in World Heroes Mission as well. While he confirms that he's proud of her right before Gigantomachia kills him, how she deals with the loss of 2 big pros who put their trust in her will be bigger than any confidence issue she had from the Sports Fest to now. Crust, one of the closest heroes in the entire roster to All Might's heroic spirit. Everyone continues to see the value in Aizawa including the top heroes and villains, the Shield Hero's sacrifice was a link in the chain of the only reasons Japan didn't return to a complete state of anarchy that day. I confidently believe you finished Season 6 so I can say this, Eel Boy being killed by Twice and having Toga transform into him to kill other heroes in the war was important, the hero at the scene in Uraraka's childhood who showed she can still be heroic despite her humble beginnings. In fact her staying true to that idea rather than the one to get money for her parents will debatably have her spared by Stain if they ever met. Looking at how ironic it was leading to this day, some heroes (like Mt Lady) began to get closer to something he would approve of while the villains who claimed to be inspired by him strayed away due to their own obsessions. It's like Spinner said to Shigaraki, they don't really associate with Stain anymore. But we can now safely see every single one of their reasonings for joining with this Atsuhiro/Compress reveal. Native being saved from Stain by Deku, Ingenium and Shoto in Hosu only to be mauled to death by a Nomu at Jaku. I believe one of the pros during the fight claims that half of the heroes who were sent were lost in a short time against the Nomu alone. Back then Iida was so focused on revenge for Tensei that he couldn't save Native... he vowed to use his speed to save others, like Shoto during their Joint Training match. But because he couldn't escape Juzo's and Testutetsu's final attack, he decided he wasn't fast enough. There's likely no reason to be hard on himself for not immediately following Deku, Bakugo and Shoto to the Shigaraki fight, he was following the rules to evacuate others. Whether he thinks he could've been fast enough to save the other pros (like Native who coincidentally died there) is up to him now. I feel you see it's not just about how much screen time these people got or feats that they had, it's also about the impact they have on others and how the quality of their heroism can now be called into question more than ever. Deaths like "X-less" (he was at the Kamino raid in a different outfit), "Funkman" and "Master Driller" come off as kinda "who is this guy?" but they have reactions to show every loss and every injury is a massive failure. Speaking of this as well, it's perfectly respectable to not be on board with Redestro as it's not really his complete character either... many things were cut in the anime like his original introduction (a commercial for his company which they make sound really important here but it can come off as confusing because they never really explained it), their interrogation of Giran, and him breaking one of his valued employees' necks for a disagreement about Destro (their name was Miyashita, he was saddened about it but still devoted to the cause at all costs). The flashback about the League here was actually the original start of My Villain Academia in the manga, info meant to be shown in Season 5. After Spinner questions Shigaraki, Gigantomachia breaks in and the rest goes how we remember. But Redestro went so hard in the war despite Tokoyami one-shotting him at first because he valued every one of his soldiers, and would grieve them individually including Curious after she was killed. Thousands were killed in Shigaraki's first attack, thousands more were killed and injured in Machia's rampage. But every single one had weight. The pros who survived actually aren't so lucky because no matter what good things they do next they'll now be met with criticisms so heavy that they may be driven to quit like the man Uravity witnessed. Especially with the truth about Endeavor now being out, he's now at the core of that "hellish hell", the crumbling of their original foundation as prophesied by Starservant. Imagining the thoughts of defeat for the students receiving the news of these deaths in the report. Although it did start coming off as recap, I do appreciate how it was narrating the events as if Deku himself was receiving and trying to process this information. Just like the events of the Training Camp ended in a massive loss for trust in heroes, the Paranormal Liberation War feels like one of the final nails in this nation's rotting coffin. Your reactions always make me smile, thank you for the transparency no matter how your view of this series evolves.
