Sometimes they use anime-canon as an opportunity to add in content that couldnt be added into the manga originally. The movies are a good example since they are all canon too even tho they arent from the manga

Bro acting like rules can't be bent and that there can be no exceptions. Sure, in the end he made sure they didn't receive any punishment from the law but just because they did what you or other heroes couldn't do doesn't mean they didn't do the right thing. I'm sure he made sure that they weren't punished, but the fact he made sure that didn't happen just proves what he told those 3 was wrong, lol. Actually, the whole Froppy stuff is actually filler, lol. There was none of this in the manga.

2024-03-09 01:47:24 +0000 UTCReminder that the first My Hero academia Movie (Two Heroes) is set right after season 2, so if you want to watch in the best order, you should watch it before starting season 3 I think the movies are a good watch, theyre enjoyable and are something different for MHA, the second movie is the best by far though, its kinda insane. Theyre not needed but do hint at main story things coming up not in a spoilery way, but are made to fit into the main story pretty well, id love for you to watch them

2024-03-09 01:35:04 +0000 UTCNo you were right, this is a filler episode, its not in the manga, but tbh this is the better way to do a filler, give spotlight to characters who dont get as much, fit it into the arc properly and dont interrupt the main fights or buildup of the main story, its placed in the downtime after the stain stuff so its not really annoying Also its about best girl Tsuyu so it gets bonus points But yeah there is not many filler episodes in MHA, but there are a few more and theyre all worse than this ngl, i know the first episode of season 3 and season 4 i belive are filler and are kinda poopoo but theyre whatever, they can be a fun watch still, i dont think you need to skip them

2024-03-09 00:57:42 +0000 UTCManual talked about it a few episodes prior as well - because quirks are so widespread, there are laws in place to limit they use in order to protect the peace, and protect excessive use or force. Even as a hero, you are only allowed to use your abilities to stop crime or disaster from happening, not with the full force of killing. Additionally, the 3 of them did not have hero licenses, and were unsupervised - using their quirks as excessive force against a villain is breaking more than a handful of rules. Comparing it to law within the US - think of it like how if a burglar broke into your home. If you hurt them with a weapon, even if they broke in, that burglar could sue you for assault. Additionally/more directly you could think if it like how (in theory at least) it is illegal for a cop to use excessive force - in the case of an arrest, using their "power" to cause harm to someone committing crime is illegal under most circumstances. Ofc this doesn't apply to criminals with murderous intent, but in the case of MHA's heroes laws, it does; some of that is likely to protect the profession of heroism from coming under fire in the case of villain injury, or to protect from legal action on the part of the villain. Outside of this - it could just reflect Japanese crime law more closely than a western audience might understand. I'm not fully familiar with JP crime law so I'm not sure. TLDR; likely a slew of stupid legal reasons pertaining to fair treatment of criminals, likely to the detriment of heroes. This is why the Chief thanked them personally, rather than publicly.
