Kurapika's condition that he can only use chain jail on the troupe or else he dies is one of the few that's clearly outlined and stated. From now on, they will only be suggested/implied. In this episode, Neon says that she has a feeling that if she looks at the fortunes she writes, they won't come true. So it's likely she subconsciously placed a condition on herself to strengthen the power of her fortunes - her fortunes only work if she doesn't know them, but as a result, they are deadly accurate.
