But yes this show is definitely one you can pretty much turn your brain off for and just enjoy. You get to see Goku from a kid in DragonBall to an adult in DragonBall Z and Super. DragonBall GT technically isn't cannon

2022-07-11 13:09:58 +0000 UTChate to say it, but when i started watching the video, i expected the original japanese openings as well. i'm from austria, so i grew up mostly listening to the german versions of the original japanese openings. those dub intros are neither good or nostalgic at all. the last one was japanese, sure, but it also missed the last DB Super opening, which is much better than the first one in my opinion

Dbz has way more story and will give you an explanation of who everyone is (If you were to watch dbz, watch dbz kai instead though). Also, recommend listening to 70 cm square window by ROTTENGRAFFTY (db super outro 10). It's a GREAT gym song.

Guess the other ones just weren't memorable enough to remember.

2022-07-07 02:55:57 +0000 UTCWhen it comes to your questions at the end of the video: There's a decent amount of story to Dragon Ball, but not so much Dragon Ball Z -- the original Dragonball fell much more in-line with classic Shounen battle-manga in that it was more about an adventure and a coming of age story. Dragon Ball Z was a heavily action oriented show where it does have story behind the action but it makes it fairly clear that the action is entirely what it's catered towards. Dragon Ball GT can be safely ignored, it's non-canon and is considered to be the black sheep by the fandom. It just isn't any good. Super is 50/50, it's a lot closer to the Z formula than the original Dragon Ball but it has more modern animation so it feels a lot more grand than it is. Overall scores: Dragon Ball: 7/10 Dragon Ball Z: 6/10 Dragon Ball GT: 2/10 Dragon Ball Super: 5/10 However, there's a fan-made parody called Dragon Ball Z Abridged that is easily the best thing made of the series -- and they allow pretty much full uploads of their works. It does a better job at comedy, storytelling, and in some ways even the action feels better in Abridged since the pacing is fixed to a certain extent. DBZ Abridged is around an 8/10

2022-07-07 01:49:20 +0000 UTCOk, this was a weird ride, I'm use to the Japanese openings (and on my mother language but they were the same song just dubbed) it's interesting the approach they had back in the days over there for the music. You should definitely check out the japanese version, they are good too! About the story, you don't need your brain at all to watch it, Goku is straight out stupid and he only thinks about becoming stronger, so no, it doesn't have a big story like AOT or Death Note, has a lot of action and comedy. And yes, it's kinda funny, but there are dinosaurs and high tech in the story, there is also "people" that looks like animals and aliens, a lot of aliens. It's one of those things that you saw as a kid and you think is the coolest thing in the world but now that you are older just realized that it doesn't make any sense but it's still cool lol I love your shirt btw.

The series started as a comedy that became combat-focused because those sections were the most popular while it was being serialized. As someone who grew up with the North American versions, I would argue that the Japanese OST and OPs are much more enjoyable to listen to and do a better job at immersing the viewer into the world of the show.

Now we just need him to react to some of the themes... Like "Gohan's Anger" (I personally prefer the abridged version) And "Super Saiyan 3" Oh and let's not forget the "HERO" theme from Battle of Gods "Flow Hero Song of Hope" . So many good themes.
