I feel like watching One Piece will get you immediately hooked on wanting to find out what happens next. There are characters I love and hate. I was annoyed, I was hyped, I was laughing, I was crying, I was mad. It's a full on emotional yet exciting ride. Luffy and Zoro are my favorites. But here's an advice, if you were to react to One Piece, it would be a hard stress of choice for you. Considering, you still have so many anime you haven't react to yet with mid 20s episodes or so. Getting hooked on One Piece will side tracked you. But obviously One Piece is great.

The mangaka who wrote the story has this way of tying in things you learn of a long time ago into ways that just absolutely blow your mind and you wonder how you never put the pieces together before.

OH also, if you do watch it, it's one of the few anime where I would say give the dub a chance, it's really good. Also I do think one piece is a good show but the thing about it is don't think I'd recommend it as a reaction, you'd be doing it for decades haha! Plus I think people have said it in the comments "It gets good at episode 50-100", that's like the entire AoT series just to get into the show. So yeah show is 10/10 don't think I'd put as a thing to react to!

I recommed anyone wanting to watch to try the fan version with edits to pace up the episodes better, cuz episodes really get annoying as nothing almost happens. But yeah, you should watch it, maybe not recording it though.

It’s Honestly such a great show, especially when you get to the time skip around like episode 450. Idk if you should react to it cause that’s a huge commitment but I seriously recommend at least watching it

Amazing story-work, fantastic lore-building, and a tale with so many floating plot threads that leaves you in awe when you make the connection from 400 episodes ago. The author, Eichiro Oda created a world that is truly worth witnessing. You will cry. That much won't even take too long. And it will get worse in the best possible ways as it goes on. I mostly find Sanji’s actions and portrayal really disturbing. And that’s just my perspective. Sanji got good abilities. And i researched a lot about how people feel abt him. Seems like i still got a long way to go.

Once you get invested and start seeing backstories from characters, it's very heartbreaking. But, the saving grace is it's also really uplifting as you see the characters deal with those traumas.

I loved the fact that you said it made you constantly smile and happy even though you don't know anything about it, because it actually has a lot of meaning...which ofc I won't talk about since it's a spoiler, but yes, it has really big weigh these words... Also yes, One piece seem outward as happy adventury anime only, but it can be so elegantly, brutally and mysteriously dark sometimes that even I am still shocked about it. Also not to complain ofc, but if you were interested you could react to it sometimes when you feel like it, you missed one opening, 24, it's called "paint" ☺️ it's the newest one XD Ah yes, this is just a suggestion but a certain video called "Breathtaking world of One piece" is really popular currently to react to, it's beautifully done. It shows just how vast, unique and gorgeous the world of One piece is. So yeah, just an idea for a reaction for times when boredom comes xd

They use real world problems and apply them into the show such as corrupt governments, racial discrimination, slavery, and many more real topics. It is very relatable

It's one of my favourite anime of all times but you should really consider before making the decision to start the anime. There is laughing and crying in this show. It can be happy go lucky but it has serious episodes too. Looking forward to the day you decide to watch the anime and join the One Piece fans on the long journey.

The author has been writing it for over 20 years and it is an absolute masterpiece. Actually the current arc in the 1000s is the best arc in the series right now imo. The series itself is one of the largest emotional rollercoasters I've ever seen and I am so glad I gave it a chance. Most people assume the first few dozen episodes is what the whole series is like but I can confirm that is not true. People who don't give it a chance never reach the parts of the series that make it so good. I've seen so many people react to One Piece and the extra emotional episodes always make those reactors cry every time. For some of them I still haven't seen a reactor who hasn't cried at the most emotional ones. Definitely recommend. It is a journey I have no regrets getting on

The openings of one piece are closely linked to the story of the manga, so when you listen to them as you watch, or when you listen to them again later, it makes even more sense, it's even more meaningful and moving. The first part before the ellipse of the two years (that we often find in shonen) is lighter and funny, we laugh a lot even if there are incredible epic moments. But the second part is more serious, harder and corresponds to the progress of the crew in their adventure. We laugh less but the manga remains great. It's a marathon to catch up with all the 1000 episodes but... it's worth it. One Piece literally changed my life.

Watch this show on the channel, it is one of the godfathers of adventure anime and you will be feeling so cultured and nostalgic. And to answer your earlier question, One Piece is overall a fun adventure anime with tons of happy moments, but it also has many serious points in the story that are heart-wrenching. Idk about you now as an adult but when I was a kid, some of them actually made me cry

An adventure so legendary it spans beyond generations, a story that will bring up and down with the characters themselves, as though you were the 11th Crewmate. As though you saw the sun rise and fall every night in their world. There isn't ever, nor will there ever be, a show like One Piece. Don't get me wrong- AoT sits up there. But just like AoT- it's in it's own realm, it's own element. And it is king.
