Hey, everyone had an emergency dental surgery on the 4th wasn’t fun hence the reason I haven’t posted yet, still recovering. I hope everyone had a happy safe Fourth of July if you’re in the USA, and even if you’re not I hope you got to see fireworks anyway! If you’d like to see the fireworks we got to see check out Sunshine‘s Playhouse on YouTube we Went live last night a few times to show everyone the amazing fireworks we enjoyed.
I’m still in quite a bit of pain, and due to the medication I was prescribed prior to the surgery I have been unable to breastfeed for a few days until it clears my system.
I will teach more about this, so that you can learn from me.
I know my milk supply will drop a bit but with regular feedings for a few days in a row it will come back fast. I just need to stay hydrated and each Breastfeeding friendly foods as I have taught you all here before. If you need a refresher course, please just message me and I will post a video on the timeline.
My daughter has been upset that she has not been able to have her breast milk and I had to gently explain to her that in order to keep her safe I had to make sure that the medication was completely out of my system before she decided to nurse again since we are strictly breastfeeding from the source these days.
Please always talk to your pediatrician and doctors about any medication they may prescribe you and let them know you are nursing so that any medication’s you might take or are thinking of taking are safe for your child that is still consuming your milk.
This is especially important for newborns till four. There are certain vitamins and medication‘s that are dangerous while breast-feeding until the age of four. Even vitamin supplements and cold medicines for children are not recommended until after the age of 4. Always be safe and check your labels. Talk to your pharmacist and pediatrician and Dr. always before administering any medication to your child or taking any medication yourself if you are continuing breast-feeding.
See you soon beloveds!
