It is said that co-sleeping can be dangerous before 18months of age. Sometimes co-sleeping is the only way a new mom can get any sleep. When holding your child’s head upon your arm and resting on your back a safer co-sleep can be achieved.
I do not recommend cosleeping, until after the age of 18 months When the risk of SIDS lessens and it is safer to co-sleep.
One good thing about breastfeeding is the child’s nostrils flare out when nursing creating a good airflow of oxygen so you know they are capable of breathing as long as the airway is clear.
Mommies need to catch the rest when they can!
You can never imagine until you’ve had your first child how much she really needed your sleep when you don’t get any anymore.
Proper sleep is required for a good immune system and lack of sleep can cause sickness and pain and a lot of suffering.
I do my best to catch a quick nap when my daughter is breast-feeding. We fall asleep together in the mornings sometimes after a late night. (I work graveyard part time, my sleep is essential but I don’t get enough myself. )
Waking up in the mornings after returning home at 3am is difficult so I squeeze in a nap when I can holding my daughter close and feeding her with love.
Breastmilk is the best breakfast! It can also delay the need for food first thing in the morning as it is a whole food. It’s nice to breast-feed my daughter and know that she’s not hungry until we take a quick nap and I am able to get up for the day to make her a healthy breakfast.
Nap when you can! It’s essential to get enough rest to maintain your milk supply!
