I nurse whenever I can…

After a few hard days of taking care of sick children I myself I’m feeling a little under the weather today. I am making myself as available as possible to my toddler to nurse whenever she wants to as she is healing from some sort of virus. My older child was having a lot of nausea maybe we were exposed to salmonella or food that was left out too long from our Christmas dinner.

I had a bit of a tummy issue and my daughter unfortunately had some light vomiting through Christmas Day. My youngest daughter has a bad cough but not as bad as my five year old. My nursing daughter who is three years old who still breast-feeds somehow got by without any nausea or vomiting. I would like to say that this had something to do with the breastmilk that I provide for her as it is an amazing superfood.

Sometimes children won’t nurse when they’re sick or all they want to do is only nurse when they’re sick so it is up to us to provide them the breast whenever they desire to drink milk or pump in order to give them this life sustaining milk in order for them to heal faster from illness as it is liquid gold.

I wish that my breasts were made a little bit more tough to be able to pump milk like I used to, but after insane nipple infections as I have taught you about here whether it was the time I dealt with staphylococcus bacteria or the overuse of the pump causing slow healing trauma on the nipple tissue my nipples just can’t handle it anymore.

I do still like to try out new pumps to see if they work for me so that I can share that education and knowledge with you. Some pumps are better than others I just can’t pump as often as I used to if I pump more than twice a day I start to feel the nipple soreness coming back and I never want to go through those horrible nipple infections again!

I hope that all of the information that I provide to you and the assistance advice and pictures with descriptions have helped you learn about feeding your own baby and what I go through as a Breastfeeding mom Who believes in baby led weaning.
