It was a fine summer day when I was playing with my children at the indoor playground. They both sat down on my lap as we slid down a slide together. The weight of them on my lap as we landed on the padded floor caused my coccyx to touchdown gently bumping the pad. Surprisingly after the impact a wave of excruciating pain started to develop in my tailbone area. It was warm and radiating pain that was extremely uncomfortable I could barely sit down. It has been a few months now and it is still not healed increasingly getting worse even after an x-ray showed there was no breakage. Due for an MRI soon I wanted to share with you these photos of how I’m able to breast-feed with having a coccyx injury. Placing the pillow on one side of my back to keep me from rolling completely on my back which causes me pain. Sitting up while feeding is extremely difficult now as I cannot put too much weight on my coccyx area.
Just goes to show that sometimes being an awesome mom can cause injuries lol! Who knew that enjoying the indoor playground slide with my kids would’ve been this painful! 🤣🥹🤦♀️
If you are suffering from a coccyx injury placing a travel type of neck pillow under your bottom open end toward the back can help to relieve some of the pain while seated.
Gotta keep on mommin! The mom show must go on. Keeping a smile on my face and doing my best is all I can do mommies don’t get a break from being a mom and looking at their little faces with their big smiles helps relieve a little bit of pain with a love filled heart.
