This video is in my super VIP tier folder for April uploading now.
On the road again traveling to the landfill in Mexico to unfortunately drop off our trash from our wedding when I saw all the humongous piles of waste and devastating litter and trash that we over consuming humans leave to the planet.
It made me realize that Breastfeeding or chest feeding nursing feeding from the source the way mother nature intended can actually help save the environment!
Just think for one second about how many cans of formula how much water it takes to make that formula how much evaporation of the water it takes to mix the formula properly after cooking it are used.
Think of how many storage bags of plastic pumping mamas use even myself has used to pump milk for the baby.
Think of all the rubber bottle nipples and plastic bottles and plastic bottle tops from the bottle-fed baby that end up in the landfill or in the ocean.
All the milk cartons from cows milk that isn’t even good for us all the milk cartons from almond milk and soy milk and rice milk and all the other milks that we don’t need as humans in our bodies the only complete milk nutrition that we need is mothers milk human milk.
When the baby is exclusively fed from the source as mother nature intended it is sustainable sustainable milk.
Sustainable human milk for humans. Mother nature knows what she’s doing.
I can only imagine the carbon footprint I left from being a pumping mama for the first year of life I did breast-feed but I also had to pump.
I just did a breast-feeding mother interview that will be posted here soon from a lady in Mexico to ask her how she exclusively breast-feeds without pumping.
She told me that her wonderful mother drives the baby to her on her lunch break for her to breast-feed her baby even though she’s at work as a teacher. This also reminds me how we say it takes a village and there’s a lot of mommies out there that don’t have that support or that “village” to help with their breast-feeding success or even the success of a mom with a newborn.
The mental health of mothers with newborns is extremely fragile. I don’t know one mother in my entire life who has just given birth to a newborn baby and been able to truly enjoy it without being completely exhausted and overwhelmed. I have yet to meet that mother.
May you enjoy these beautiful pictures of me and my three-year-old breast-feeding on our journey and remembering how through breast-feeding we are helping to save the planet.
