There are many things that must be avoided in the breastfeeding mothers diet to not pass these things through to a child that needs surgery. These things must be avoided for at least two weeks prior to any surgery. Please always consult your doctor or pediatrician for an entire list of the things that you need to abstain from ingesting as a breastfeeding mother before your child has surgery.
