Many people ask why the videos are hosted on external sources. I want to explain a little - the Patreon platform does not provide its own platform for posting videos!
The good news is that I found out that Patreon is testing its own video hosting platform. There are no launch dates yet. Will wait.
Patreon is just paired with a separate Vimeo platform and a little with YouTube. The problem with Vimeo is that they can't post too naturalistic content, which is 70-90 percent of the videos. YouTube is a little more loyal, but only a little, and such videos need to be marked "For adults". And according to the rules of YouTube, such videos cannot be viewed as embedded on platforms. Therefore, to view it, you will have to go to YouTube, and besides, as I wrote on YouTube, it also has its own limitations.
Therefore, I post all the videos at once in the three most loyal sources - the Vkontakte network, the messenger network - Telegram and on cloud storage. I don't need anyone's personal data, as someone suggested, it's even ridiculous. I don't even save data from member subscriptions.
I really hope that in the near future Patreon will launch its service for storing streaming data (video).
